Depending on the model you select, the can be either mounted inside the vehicle with the sub floor built over them or they can be mounted underneath the vehicle. It is a good idea to think about what you will use before you design the interior of the vehicle in case you need to make room for it.

Those that go under will need to be for a truck or a van, there isn’t usually enough clearance to secure them under a car, but most cars won’t have enough room for a sink, shower, or toilet either! One more thing to consider when you are selecting the right vehicle to live in by the river.

An extra set of keys for everything inside of the vehicle as well as the lock on the vehicle should be well hidden outdoors. Make sure it isn’t in a common location where anyone else can guess. Make sure that the keys are secured with wire or other device so that they won’t fall off when you move the vehicle.

You won’t be able to just reach into your pocket and dial the locksmith if you are living in a vehicle down by the river. Even if you are always cautious about picking up the keys when you go out, you need to make sure you have extras in place. If you never need them fine, but if you ever do you will be very grateful you took this advice.
